One of the most anticipated film festivals in the country is now on its third year and will open with three short films and with the four trailers of the Philippines' first regional Film Grants Program. CineKasimanwa: Western Visayas Film Festival, with this year's theme "Lokal is International". A couple of days ago, the opening films were announced. Now, we have the full list of all the films joining the CineKasimanwa. The CineKasimanwa: Western Visayas Season is almost here! Disney Reviving Mary Poppins
Disney is reviving one of their most beloved and iconic characters with a new Mary Poppins movie. Rob Marshall (Chicago) is on board to direct the new original live-action musical from a script by David Magee (Life of Pi). Phil Lord and Chris Miller to direct a Han Solo Movie
Lucasfilm has announced that "The LEGO Movie" and "21 Jump Street" directoring duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller will take the helm of an untitled Star Wars Anthology film focusing on the adventures of young Han Solo, slated for release on May 25, 2018. The picture already has a screenplay by "The Empire Strikes Back" writer and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" co-writer Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon Kasdan, who wrote and directed the indie drama "In the Land of Women". Vin Diesel is Kojak
News is out that "Fast & Furious" actor Vin Diesel is developing a film adaptation based on the 1970's cop show, "Kojak", being set up as starring vehicle for Diesel. Universal Pictures has hired screenwriter Philip Gawthorne to write the screenplay. Gawthorne had recently signed on to pen a remake of the sci-fi thriller "Cube" for Lionsgate.

A Farewell to the Late Great Christopher Lee
The great Christopher Lee passed away recently. The screen legend famous for roles in Hammer Horror films, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars passed away after suffering heart and respiratory problems. Lee died at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on 7 June 2015, shortly after celebrating his 93rd birthday there. His wife delayed the public announcement until 11 June, in order to break the news to their family. He was 93. Now, it's time to look back at the career of the legendary performer.
