Walt Disney Animation Studios has revealed plans for “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated comedy-adventure about a spirited teenager on an impossible mission to fulfill her ancestors’ quest. Live-Action Dumbo Movie being developed; Ehren Kruger to Pen Screenplay

Ehren Kruger may not be a bright name among critics circles for penning such childishly awful screenplays for such movies as the last three of the four Michael Bay Transformers movies, Brothers Grimm, and Reindeer Games. Now, it seems that he is assigned to pen something that fits his less impressive image; he will be penning the screenplay for a live-action "Dumbo" movie. Will there be a FROZEN 2?

There's no denying the pop phenomenon the Walt Disney animated movie FROZEN has created. It’s currently the top selling Blu-ray and soundtrack on Amazon. It's also recently been re-released in some theaters. Plus, there's that popular song that makes the movie itself a pop sensation. If we consider the commercial behavior of Hollywood nowadays of "striking the iron while it's hot" ...it's a sure thing that making a sequel is obviously on Disney's calendar. But that doesn’t mean that it's happening tomorrow.  Disney has no reason to rush when the original is still riding high. In an interview with Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn, he said that one of the other reasons why is that Disney is, instead, primarily focusing on the Frozen musical.  Disney loves bringing their animated features to the stage, and a Frozen stage musical is a license to print money. Live-action CINDERELLA movie, in production

Let's see now, we already have 2 new Snow White movies, one Twilight-like Red Riding Hood movie, an emo-centric Jack in the beanstalk... Now we have a new Cinderella movie! Walt Disney has hired Kenneth Branagh ("Thor",  and the upcoming "Jack Ryan") to direct the movie CINDERELLA which will star Lily James, Richard Madden, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter. Walt Disney Pictures announced this week that principal photography has begun at Pinewood Studios in London, on “Cinderella,” Disney’s first-ever live action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale. Disney Acquires Rights to Larry Brenner’s Pitch, LABYRINTH

Walt Disney Pictures has obtained the rights to Labyrinth after a pitch from 2011’s Black List writer Larry Brenner.  The action-adventure film, produced by Jim Whitaker (American Gangster), tells the story of a mythical princess’ journey to save her father by trekking through the dangerous and elaborate labyrinth.  Sound familiar?  That’s because the premise is very similar to Jim Henson’s 1986 film by the same name, although there’s no relation.

Brenner is a newly discovered screenwriter who go his start after being a finalist on Final Draft’s Big Break Screenwriting Contest in 2011.  His screenplay for Bethlehem – a story about a group of survivors who makes a deal with a vampire in exchange for protection during a zombie apocalypse – landed him on The Black List that same year.  Universal Pictures later acquired the rights to the project and it’s currently in development.

Disney officially confirms Avengers 2

AVENGERS 2 is definitely going to happen

It seems extremely obvious that there is indeed going to be an Avengers 2. Disney is now confirming it officially. Disney CEO Bob Iger has recently announced that the studio is developing a sequel to The Avengers, adding that the film’s success “is a great illustration of why we like Marvel so much.”

True-blue Marvel geeks who have sat through the extra scene at the end of the animated credits now know very well who the next big bad villain is gonna be; and he is more than fitting to take on the Avengers. Although no official date has been marked for Avengers 2 as of yet, the studio has earlier announced that there's still an untitled Marvel movie slated for release in 2014. Could it be Avengers 2? Or maybe Ant-Man? We don’t know that yet.

So just who is this villain for Avengers 2? Will Joss Whedon be back to direct Avengers 2? Read on to find out…

JOHN CARTER FROM BOREDOOM

Everything that you saw from the JOHN CARTER movie looks like a mash-up of various different carbon-copies of things you already saw in other sci-fi movies. Even in the trailers, JOHN CARTER looks like it was a montage of different sci-fi movies; nothing in it stands out to be unique or interesting.

The setting and action sequences looked like one of the atrocious “Star Wars” prequels, the feel of the story was very much “Avatar” and the love story was exactly like one of those idiotic Walt Disney princess love stories. Oh right, this IS a Disney movie. And Disney has such an expertise in the field of shallow and superficial definitions of love. In the end, the love story stood out as just annoying and made the characters less appealing.
