The Complete Selection of Films for the CineKasimanwa Announced
One of the most anticipated film festivals in the country is now on its third year and will open with three short films and with the four trailers of the Philippines' first regional Film Grants Program. CineKasimanwa: Western Visayas Film Festival, with this year's theme "Lokal is International". A couple of days ago, the opening films were announced. Now, we have the full list of all the films joining the CineKasimanwa. CineKasimanwa Film Festival & Ilonggo Filmmakers Conference, set to revolutionize Iloilo's Film Scene
ILOILO CITY is looking forward to a major cinema event this coming week. The CineKasimanwa: The Panay Islands Film Festival and Ilonggo Filmmakers Conference will be kicking off with the Film Fest from December 10 to 14, 2013 and the venues will be at The FDCP Iloilo Cinematheque (which is located at Solis Street, Iloilo City), the SM City Iloilo Cinemas, and the UPV Cinematheque (located inside the UPV Complex). The Festival is meant to showcase movies and short films that are all made by Ilonggos Filmmakers, not only will it be focusing on Iloilo filmmakers, but any films coming from the rest of the Panay Islands as well. This will be a festival that will celebrate the Ilonggo Cinema Art Scene, and will be a venue for the mainstream audiences to be exposed to Ilonggo films. In addition, all festival proceeds will go to the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda through the Jaro Archdiocesan Social Action Center’s Relief Operations and Rehabilitation Projects in Western Visayas. SALVI Poster Revealed Online

TM Malones' SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON to be Screened with the Masters at the National Filmfest
Looks like Ilonggo filmmaker TM Malones' movie SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON is already done, and will definitely have a grand splash as it will be screened during the Film Development Council of the Philippines' 2013 Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival All-Masters Edition which will exclusively be screened in 45 branches of SM Cinema across the country from September 11, 2013 to September 17, 2013. SALVI was chosen to be the film under the festival's New Breed cinema. SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON is the feature-length version of Malones' short film SALVI which won the FDCP’s local film competition last January. [hit the jump to continue]

Ilonggo Film BEADWORKS to be screened August 5
The ILONGGO MOVIE entitled "BEADWORKS" just recently had their film premiere last July 20, 2012 at the SM City Cinema; and before it will go into a festival tour and into regular screening in other regions, the movie will once again be having their screening here in Iloilo, at SM City Cinema, Cinema 3, on August 5, 2012 Sunday, at 12 noon.
