Dwayne Johnson Reveals Rampage Plot Bit

Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that Rampage will indeed by his next project, a plot bit, and the role he's playing.

It looks like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is back for a sequel to the 2015 earthquake disaster flick SAN ANDREAS, which proves that Hollywood still loves to make sequels out of awful movies. THR reports that regardless that the film was mostly panned by critics, "San Andreas" went on to make nearly $500 million worldwide at the box office, which more than made up for its $110 million budget. New Line has also gone on to hire relatively new talent in Neil Widener and Gavin James to pen the script for the film. It was earlier announced that two of the three writers of the first film had been hired to write the "Astro Boy" flick, leaving a vacuum for this sequel. Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario and Paul Giamatti are all expected to return to this sequel, though there has been no official confirmation as of this point. This is quite unfair because we've been waiting for sequels to "Dredd" and "Hellboy" yet what we get is garbage like this.

It's official; Dwayne Johnson will play the villain Black Adam for the upcoming DC movie Shazam. A month ago, Johnson announced that he was going to be part of the movie, but had not revealed whether he'd be playing the hero or the villain. Now, we get to see Johnson play the big mean villain. Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he will be part of DC's next superhero movie which is going to be Shazam. In the comics, Shazam is originally known as Captain Marvel, but the movie is said to use the name Shazam instead for the character. Shazam is the big hunky superhero whose alter-ego is actually just a kid named Billy Batson. Several reports indicate that Johnson might be playing either the title character Shazam or the villain Black Adam. Alan Moore calls for a Boycott of the upcoming Dwayne Johnson movie "Hercules"

Literary mastermind maverick  Alan Moore, creator of such timeless classics such as Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, is calling for a boycott on the upcoming movie "Hercules" directed by Brett Ratner and stars Dwayne Johnson. Moore has long been known to hate Hollywood, and now he is once again voicing his distaste for Hollywood. This time, however, he’s doing it on behalf of his recently deceased friend and fellow comic book creator, Steve Moore (no relation). In a new interview with Bleeding Cool, Alan calls for a boycott of Brett Ratner’s upcoming Hercules. The Dwayne Johnson film is an adaptation of Steve Moore’s The Thracian War comics, but Alan claims Steve didn’t receive any payment for the film treatment. He explains that, while Steve thought he’d signed a contact giving him at least a “paltry” $15,000 for the film rights, he’d actually signed a version that didn’t require the studio to pay or even consult with him. Dwayne Johnson's look on "Hercules: The Thracian Wars" and "Fast and Furious 7" revealed

Dwayne Johnson has recently been busy shooting "Hercules: The Thracian Wars" with director Brett Ratner. And Johnson has been teasing about the look of the movie on his twitter account. Now, Johnson has finally revealed his look for the movie, which looks simply awesome, and really does look like it captures the essence of the Greek Mythology icon. As a bonus, he also revealed his look for the upcoming Fast and Furious 7, which is not much of a stretch from his look on the previous Fast movies. Dwayne Johnson eyed to be THE FALL GUY, McG to direct

One of the popular TV series from the 1980s THE FALL GUY is one of those 80s series that has been in development hell to be made into a movie, but hasn't quite taken off yet. Not until now, Dwayne Johnson is being eyed to star in it. Starring Lee Majors, The Fall Guy centered on a stuntman who moonlighted as a bounty hunter when work was slow.  Just as Johnson is reported as being in negotiations to step into Majors’ shoes, McG (We Are Marshall) is also in talks to direct.  If deals were to close, casting would likely look to the roles of a sidekick cousin and a fetching female stunt actress, played by Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas in the original series, respectively.  That is, if the big-screen version were to follow in the footsteps of the ABC series; no plot details are available just yet. Both Johnson and McG are in talks to get The Fall Guy off the ground. The New Terminator Movie will be a Reboot

A while back, we reported that Schwarzenegger was going back to the Terminator franchise, that means a new movie is coming. Now, Paramount, Annapurna Pictures, and Skydance Productions have partnered for this project and have officially announced that the new Terminator movie will be a reboot that will launch the series anew, to be released by Paramount Pictures on June 26, 2015. If you ask me, a reboot does make sense; the Terminator series is a terribly flawed franchise (the whole time-travel scenario is messy and inconsistent), and does need a good re-organization and re-structuring of its entire story arc. HERCULES with Dwayne Johnson and Brett Ratner moving forward

MGM and Paramount Pictures are moving ahead with their HERCULES movie that will star Dwayne Johnson as the titular character and will be directed by Brett Ratner. This movie will be bBased on the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars, the ensemble-action film is a revisionist take on the classic myth set in a grounded world where the supernatural does not exist. The screenplay is by Ryan Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos. This movie will probably be a movie that will exclude all the supernatural, fantastical elements usually expected of what a Hercules movie would be. The pic also stars Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Askel Hennie, and Reece Ritchie.  Hercules opens on July 25, 2014. G.I. Joe 3 is a Go!

Personally, I was glad that the second G.I. Joe movie - G.I. Joe: Retaliation - was successful at the box office and at the critical receptions. Most of all, because of the new direction and the new treatment of the G.I. Joe franchise which is a tremendously huge improvement over the disgustingly awful first movie. And with the success of this movie, of course, we can expect the studios to milk the cow and strike the iron while its hot; a third movie will surely be made. And indeed the wheels have begun rolling at Paramount studios as it has recently been announced that a Third G.I. Dwayne Johnson's Agent Hobbs character from the Fast & Furious series may get his own movie

Dwayne Johnson was an excellent addition to the Fast & Furious series when Fast Five came out, so much so that there’s been talk of his Luke Hobbs character getting his own spinoff film.  Way back in January 2011, producer Neal Moritz said that they were “about to” get a script together for the Hobbs movie, and Johnson himself has been keen on the idea.  Johnson has a key role in this year’s Fast & Furious 6, as his DSS agent enlists Vin Diesel’s car-thieving crew to help him combat a rival team of thieves in Europe in return for Diesel and Co.’s full pardons.  Now Johnson has provided an update on the standalone Hobbs movie, suggesting it might come in between Fast 6 and the inevitable Fast & Furious 7.
