The FDCP Cinematheque has just announced the extension of screening for the film "2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten" by Petersen Vargas, on May 3 and 4, 2017 at 6PM. Admission fee is PHP 150. The film opened in Cinematheque Iloilo last April 26, 2017 and has received a warm, packed reception. So much so that an extension is well deserved.

CineKasimanwa Films to be Screened at "Pag+uo"
In tune with the solemn season, the CineKasimanwa: Western Visayas Film Festival in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines' Cinematheque Iloilo presents "Pag+uo" a screening of films about trials, challenges, fate, mystery, hope, journey, redemption, symbolisms, pain and joy, in the eyes of Ilonggo Filmmakers. These are picked selections from the CineKasimanwa: Western Visayas Film Festival screenings. The screenings will be held at the FDCP Cinematheque Iloilo, Solis Street, Iloilo City on April 8 and 9 at 2:00 PM screenings. These films are Free of charge, and the filmmakers will be in attendance.

Ang Babae Sa Likod Ng Mambabatok screens at the Cinematheque Iloilo
"Ang Babae sa Likod ng Mambabatok" will be replacing "Busong: Palawan Fate" for the screening of the Indigenous People films this week. The World Premieres Film Festival at the Cinematheque this Week
The World Premieres Film Festival continues this week at the FDCP Cinematheque with a handful of wonderful films from around the world, namely; Chicas Paranoicas, Candlestick, Open Wound, Filosofi Kopi, and the WPFF 2015 Short Films, and on Saturday, the five-and-a-half-hour Lav Diaz film "Mula sa Kung Ano ang Noon" gets a screening. Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis Screens in Iloilo [updated March 23, 2016]
The controversial 8-hour epic film by Lav Diaz "Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis" is set to have a screening at the FDCP Cinematheque Iloilo this March 26, 2015 Saturday. Bambanti Screens at the FDCP Cinematheque
This week, the FDCP Cinematheque screens the Brillante Mendoza produced, Zig M. Dulay written and directed film "Bambanti" which stars Alessandra de Rossi, Shamaine Buencamino, Micko Laurente, and Julio Diaz. It recently won the Best Indie Movie, Indie Director, Production Design, Child Performer, and Original Theme Song at the PMPC Star Awards, it also won the Best Film Award at the Brussels Film Festival, and its lead child star Micko Laurente the Best Actor at the International Children's Film Festival in India last November. Ganap Na Babae screens at the FDCP Cinematheque
In celebration of Women's Month, the FDCP Cinematheque screens this week the film "Ganap na Babae” which is a film for women made by women directors: Rica Arevalo, Ellen Ramos and Sarah Roxas. A prostitute, two sisters, and a widow come together to tell their stories about womanhood. Walang Rape sa Bontok Screens at the FDCP Cinematheque this week
This week at the FDCP Cinematheque, the highly-praised documentary "Walang Rape sa Bontok" will be screened. This much-talked-about movie is about two Filipina victims of sexual abuse, who searched for the truth behind the finding of a renowned anthropologist: that merely a few generations ago, the Bontok Igorot lived in what seems an unthinkable utopia; a rapeless society.
