Guardians of the Galaxy
is a space epic adventure that focuses its story on a band of intergalactic misfits who are outlaws fighting for good. The Marvel comics series of the same name from which it is based on, and the upcoming movie seems to have a treatment quite similar to Firefly and Serenity; high adventure with light-hearted elements of comedy.

Enemy (2014)
This psychological thriller film directed by Denis Villeneuve which was loosely adapted by Javier Gullón from José Saramago's 2002 novel The Double. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal who plays Adam Bell, who is a glum, disheveled history professor, who seems disinterested even in his beautiful girlfriend Mary. Watching a movie on the recommendation of a colleague, Adam spots his double, a bit-part actor named Anthony Clair, and decides to track him down. The identical men meet and their lives become bizarrely and irrevocably intertwined. Gyllenhaal is transfixing as both Adam and Anthony, provoking empathy as well as disapproval while embodying two distinct personas.

One of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2014 is Guardians of the Galaxy. Not only does this movie promise to be a highly spectacular epic space adventure, but it's also part of the Marvel universe. [hit the jump to continue]

Will Nathan Fillion be Nova in Guardians of the Galaxy?

Basically, the answer is No. For quite a while now, there had been reports that Nathan Fillion will have a role in the upcoming Marvel sci-fi adventure "Guardians of the Galaxy" and most of the geek community is rooting for him to play the superhero Nova or Nova Prime. Well they just have to rest that idea, and be happy enough with the idea with him being on the movie for a "fun" cameo.

James Gunn himself, who worked with Fillion on Slither, Super, and PG-Porn, confirmed the debunk, via twitter, stating:
"The rumors of my pal Nathan Fillion playing Nova in "Guardians of the Galaxy" have been greatly (and entirely) exaggerated. Sorry, humans." he continues "He (Fillion) has a very small fun cameo he did as a favor to me."
Guardians of the Galaxy opens in Philippine cinemas July 30, 2014.

Josh Brolin is the Voice of Thanos

If there's one character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that fans are so excited to finally see, it's the big bad villain Thanos who was teased in the last part of The Avengers movie, and will also be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy, and is obviously anticipated to be the big villain for Marvel's Phase 3 with the third Avengers movie. Obviously, the character will mostly be CGI, but it is the voice actor who will provide more of the soul of the character (they'll also probably do a Motion-Capture for that actor (just as in the case of Mark Ruffalo for Hulk) to enable him to do physical acting to go along with the animated character as well. Marvel's Phase 2 Begins! Avengers 2 start filming 2014

PHASE 2 BEGINS
It has recently been reported that AVENGERS 2 will begin pre-production later this week, and will start filming in the UK (at Pinewood-Shepperton Studios) early 2014. In relation to this news, Marvel finally released the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One box set earlier this week, and included in the collection is a bounty of extras from the studio’s past and future films. Marvel's Phase Two Begins

Marvel's recent announcements during this year's San Diego Comic-Con has been the grand tidal wave of the convention. Marvel has made revelations about their upcoming movies.

Marvel, with producer Kevin Feige acting as the Watcher over its current projects, is working on 4 movies in active development.
For 2013: Iron Man 3 (May 3, 2013), and Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013).
And for 2014: Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014), and Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1, 2014).
