Doctor Doom backstory for Upcoming Fantastic Four Movie Revealed
| With what we know now, the new film's Doctor Doom may not even look like this |
Here's what Kebbell stated...
"He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story. And I’m sure I’ll be sent to jail for telling you that. The Doom in ours—I’m a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I’m “Doom”. [hit the jump to continue]

Is the Fantastic Four movie indeed planning to stray far off from the source material? We read into Michael B. Jordan's interview, and make our own impressions
20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four has been under heavy scrutiny for casting a line-up that seems to be horribly inaccurate to what a Fantastic Four line-up should be [click here for that report], it's a casting that spells really bad news for any hopes of this being a good movie, because it indicates that its producers seem to stubbornly just stray away from the essence of the source material so that they could market to a "Twilight" tween market demographic. Fears of it being an awful movie are being reinforced with an interview with its star Michael B. Jordan (cast as Human Torch), indicating the project's instability.
Instability in the sense that the project seems to not have that clear picture of what they really want for this movie before they decided to work on it; a kind of "let's just make things up as we go along" [hit the jump to continue]

Simon Kinberg hired for rewrites on FANTASTIC FOUR; Script Overhaul? or Adjustment for an X-Men Cross-over?
Aside from the X-Men franchise, Fox is also in the process of developing a Fantastic Four reboot. Josh Trank (who directed the awesome movie CHRONICLE) will be directing this new F4 movie with Jeremy Slater to pen the script and Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) doing a polish on the screenplay. It seems like the screenplay history of this movie just keeps getting more complicated, as various reports note that Michael Green and T.S. Nowlin have also worked on versions of the script at one time or another. And now, Fox has tapped X-Men: Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg to do a “significant” rewrite on the project, in what might appear as an overhaul of the screenplay. Fox's X-Men and Fantastic Four are in the Same Movie Universe
Marvel's AVENGERS movie proved that nurturing a comicbook-based universe in movies results in potential franchise blockbuster success. While the DC movies have been making really sad attempts of launching their own Justice League franchise, 20th Century Fox seems to be making good decisions with their own X-Men universe, what with the established link between first three X-Men movies with X-Men First Class, and a planned X-Force movie. Now Fox's own superhero universe will be expanding with the other Marvel property which they own the rights to; The Fantastic Four. And Fox’s creative consultant Mark Millar has confirmed that, yes, Fox's X-Men universe is in the same universe as that with the Fantastic Four's. [hit the jump to continue]

Fantastic Four Reboot Actively Being Developed
The first two Fantastic Four movies did not really hit gold with audiences and critics and quickly got dissolved, now 20th Century Fox has decided to rework its plans for the Marvel foursome; they have decided to reboot FANTASTIC FOUR. Matthew Vaughn (director of Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class, and the producer who shot Guy Ritchie into directorial fame) will be producing, while Josh Trank, who amazed the superhero movie world with his movie "Chronicle", will be directing the Fantastic Four reboot.
To top it off, writer Mark Millar has been hired by Fox to act as a “consultant” on all of their developing Marvel properties; that includes Fantastic Four and the X-Men characters (Daredevil, on the other hand, is now back in Marvel's hands). To those unfamiliar, Mark Millar is one of the most prominent writers in the comics world. He created Kick-Ass, Wanted, The Authority, and was the writer behind Marvel's Civil War.
