Gambit, Bourne, Assassin's Creed, Apes announce Official Release Dates

Fox has recently unveiled release dates for a couple of their upcoming projects. On the spotlight are: The X-Men spin-off film "Gambit" which is set on October 7, 2016; "Assassin's Creed" on December 21, 2016; and the untitled Planet of the Apes Sequel which is set on July 14, 2017. Universal has also announced that the “Untitled Next Bourne Chapter” (kind of a mouthful there, Universal) will be released on July 29, 2016. [hit the jump to continue]

Apes Saga to Continue with Third Movie; set for July 29, 2016

The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens this week, but before it did, the movie has already had generated much positive buzz from critics and film analysts alike. And eventually, it's pretty much inevitable; the studios have announced that this "apes saga" shall continue with a third movie with a target release date set to July 29, 2016. Matt Reeves' Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is Now Filming

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES was an epic success that it put to motion the rejuvenation of the Planet of the Apes series; it was most certainly a reboot that fuels further Apes movies. The newest movie in the series, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES continues the Apes saga with Andy Serkis coming back to portray the ape Caesar, and director Matt Reeves (Let Me In) helming the movie. It will also star Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kirk Acevedo, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano, and Judy Greer. This movie is currently filming.
