Many had previously speculated that Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson would fill this role following his death in the first Avengers, but that obviously didn’t come to pass as he’s alive and well on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. [hit the jump to continue]
In and around the geek analyzers' corners of the internet, it was initially wondered if the movie-version Ultron would actually turn out to be a scorned J.A.R.V.I.S. in the Avengers sequel, but that rumor was negated when James Spader was officially chosen to play the character.
From the looks of it, Vision would probably be the result of an evolution of J.A.R.V.I.S. whether that would be out of Tony Stark's intention or (as it could follow the tone of the comics) be initially out of Ultron's doing, it's pretty exciting speculating about how the storyline would turn out! The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.
