Is Terminator Ever Coming Back?

The Terminator franchise has not really stood up with a film decent enough to proudly stand alongside the first two films The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The sequels that followed have either been mediocre or boring.

"Terminator: Genisys" Reboots Terminator, Set for July 2015

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions’ fifth installment in the rebooted Terminator franchise is going to bear the title Terminator: Genisys, and it's set to be released July 1, 2015. It's going to grace the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger to his iconic role. This new terminator movie is said to be a reboot and will be expecting two more sequels which will bear the title Terminator 2 and 3, and set for May 19, 2017 and June 29, 2018.

The plan is for the two sequels to film back to back, a plan which will likely hold true as long as the first film in the rebooted trilogy is a successful endeavor.  Alan Taylor directs Arnold Schwarzenegger in his return to the title role, along with Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi and Byung Hun Lee.

It looks like Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) has won out for the role of Sarah Connor in Skydance/Annapurna Pictures/Paramount’s Terminator reboot.  The decision was down to Clarke and Brie Larson (Short Term 12) as to who would play the character made famous by Linda Hamilton’s badass performance in the original films.  Clarke would play the mother to John Connor, a hero of the human revolution against the machines; Jason Clarke is currently in talks for the role. (Hey, at least they already have a last name in common.)  Due to the near-twenty-year age difference between the two Clarkes, there’s likely a time-travel element to the reboot, which is set for release July 1, 2015. The New Terminator Movie will be a Reboot

A while back, we reported that Schwarzenegger was going back to the Terminator franchise, that means a new movie is coming. Now, Paramount, Annapurna Pictures, and Skydance Productions have partnered for this project and have officially announced that the new Terminator movie will be a reboot that will launch the series anew, to be released by Paramount Pictures on June 26, 2015. If you ask me, a reboot does make sense; the Terminator series is a terribly flawed franchise (the whole time-travel scenario is messy and inconsistent), and does need a good re-organization and re-structuring of its entire story arc. Schwarzenegger is Back! He targets to be around on the sequels to TERMINATOR, TWINS, CONAN, EXPENDABLES; and set to appear in TEN and ESCAPE PLAN

After quite a long time, Schwarzenegger is BACK. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back for another TERMINATOR movie. The legendary action actor is also setting his sights on a Conan sequel entitled KING CONAN, a TWINS sequel, and to make another appearance in the third EXPENDABLES movie. Terminator 5 is set to shart shooting in January 2014. But before that, we will be seeing Schwarzenegger in January with the movie TEN, and on October this year with the movie ESCAPE PLAN.
