Hasbro Planning to take My Little Pony to the Silver Screen

Hasbro Studios is making a push to bring My Little Pony’s popularity to the big screen in 2017 with Ice Age: Continental Drift’s Joe Ballarini penning the script. According to Variety, Hasbro is using its Allspark Pictures label for this one, just like with Jem and the Holograms.  Hasbro will produce and finance the film in house, and is already talking to studios regarding distribution options. G.I. Joe 3 is a Go!

Personally, I was glad that the second G.I. Joe movie - G.I. Joe: Retaliation - was successful at the box office and at the critical receptions. Most of all, because of the new direction and the new treatment of the G.I. Joe franchise which is a tremendously huge improvement over the disgustingly awful first movie. And with the success of this movie, of course, we can expect the studios to milk the cow and strike the iron while its hot; a third movie will surely be made. And indeed the wheels have begun rolling at Paramount studios as it has recently been announced that a Third G.I. Joe movie is officially greenlit.[CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO READ MORE ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE THIRD MOVIE]

GI JOE 2 release moves to March 2013

The Retaliation is Postponed

Bad news to those looking forward to the movie GI JOE: RETALIATION.
This movie which is originally set for a June 29, 2012 release has now been moved to March 29, 2013! Just 3 months short of an entire year! The reason for this, as a Paramount exec says:

“We’re going to do a conscientious 3D job because we’ve seen how it can better box office internationally,”

The studio exec also noted that the blockbuster performance of The Hunger Games shows that March can be a prime time of the year to release movies. That's bullshit. Uhhhh but THAT'S THE Hunger Games, and it has a huge number of fans and followers, the book's popularity is currently on its peak; Any Hunger Games movie would be successful anytime of the year.
