A teaser for Archangel is up and Olivia Munn is Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse

Looks like X-Men: Apocalypse is not yet done with their cast list announcements. Now, Olivia Munn has been cast as the femme-fetale X-Men mutant character: Psylocke. And while Ben Hardy was announced as Angel, now we get a teasing glimpse of the Archangel. [hit the jump to continue]
Director Bryan Singer has just announced on Instagram that the "Newsroom" and "The Daily Show" star has signed on to play Betsy Braddock a.k.a. Psylocke, a mutant with the power of telepathy, who will appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse".

In Psylocke’s early appearances she simply played with her telepathic powers, but she later transformed into a Japanese ninja assassin, giving her additional highly developed fighting skills. Munn is of Chinese descent and was raised in Japan before moving back to the States, so it’ll be interesting to see if this iteration of Psylocke begins with her assassin powers intact, or if she’s simply a telepath.

The mutant is the latest addition to a swelling cast for X-Men: Apocalypse, which will take place in the 1980s and find the X-Men battling the ancient mutant known as Apocalypse.

Meanwhile, it was quite a while now that Ben Hardy was included in the cast, and they gradually announced that he will be playing Angel. In an interview with Empire, director Bryan Singer officially confirmed the casting and gave a tease of the character's approach, as he says:
“Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you! But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…”

Now, we get to see teasing images that reveal that we will definitely see the character Archangel which is an abominable evolution of Angel.

In the comics, Angel’s wings are mutilated and amputated, but Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac in the film) offers him an opportunity to get them back. Angel agrees to become one of his four Horsemen, a group of genetically modified mutants who serve Apocalypse, and, in turn, Apocalypse gives him organic metal wings.

X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for international release May 19, 2016 and also stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
