Ben Kingsley will be making an appearance around the Marvel Cinematic Universe once more

During press rounds for the upcoming Ender's Game, Ben Kingsley revealed that he recently shot “a secret Marvel project. I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see,” adding that many members of the Iron Man 3 crew were involved. This means that we will be seeing more of him in upcoming Marvel projects. The question is: What will he be appearing in? Avengers 2? The Agents of SHIELD TV series? Or will he be having a role in some of the post-credits stingers or (one-shot) short films connected with Marvel's cinematic universe? [hit the jump to continue]

Regardless of the varied opinions, I am one of the many who think that the revelation around Ben Kingsley's character as the Mandarin was a brilliant move from its filmmakers, and proved that Marvel has put the priority in delivering great storylines first rather than just blindly go on adapting each and every tiny bit of the comic source material. I am talking about the idea that the Mandarin turned out to be a hilariously clueless junkie actor named Trevor Slattery. The character was originally supposed to die at the end of Iron Man 3, but thankfully they kept him around, and now it appears we’ll be seeing him again.

We actually don't know yet in what manner and medium Ben Kingsley's character will be appearing on. If he's appearing on the TV series Agents of SHIELD, it could make sense that it would be a more active role because the timeline of the show currently seems to happen around before the events of Iron Man 3. If we see him in a timeline post-Iron Man 3, then we can safely assume that more interesting things will be happening around Trevor Slattery's life aside from just ending up in jail. I'm sure rabid geeks out there are wanting him to gain those power rings that the comic book Mandarin wields. At least we get to see Kingsley once more around the Marvel universe.
