TM Malones' SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON to be Screened with the Masters at the National Filmfest

Looks like Ilonggo filmmaker TM Malones' movie SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON is already done, and will definitely have a grand splash as it will be screened during the Film Development Council of the Philippines' 2013 Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival All-Masters Edition which will exclusively be screened in 45 branches of SM Cinema across the country from September 11, 2013 to September 17, 2013. SALVI was chosen to be the film under the festival's New Breed cinema. SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON is the feature-length version of Malones' short film SALVI which won the FDCP’s local film competition last January. [hit the jump to continue]

Last March, SYOWING reported that Malones was filming a movie entitled ISKERDA, now it seems that it was just a working title, now the secret is out; they were filming the full-length version of SALVI. The story of SALVI: ANG PAGPADAYON is set in a post-apocalyptic world that looks intense, moody, and dramatically attractive. It will surely be something that could inspire Iloilo's Film Community.

NATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ALL-MASTERS EDITION
Twelve of the most experienced directors in Philippine cinema gear up to astound moviegoers with their upcoming feature films. Since the “2013 Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival All-Masters Edition” went public last February 2013, the directors have been filming their individual stories, using their respective hometowns as its backdrop. Presently, most projects are in the stage of post-production, readying for the premiere on September 11 to 17, 2013, at all SM Cinemas nationwide. The official selection consists of films from: Elwood Perez, Romy Suzara, Gil Portes, Maryo J. de los Reyes, Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes, Mel Chionglo, Chito Roño, Tikoy Aguiluz, Joel Lamangan, Carlos Siguion–Reyna and Jose Javier Reyes. Through the Film Investment Program of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, these selected filmmakers were supported with cash grants to fund the production of their unique feature films.
