Farewell to Max Laurel, Philippine Cinema's Zuma

The actor best-known for bringing Zuma to life has passed away. Actor Max Laurel, passed away last Saturday due to cardiac arrest. He was 71. [hit the jump to continue]

An actor gifted with an ideal bodybuilder physique, Max has portrayed Zuma in the movies Zuma (1985) and Anak ni Zuma (1987) which also starred Snooky Serna as Zuma's daughter Galema.

Max also appeared in several movies such as his lead role in Sgt. Clarin: Bala Para Sa Ulo Mo (1990), he was also among the trio of lead characters in D’ Wild Wild Weng (1982), along Wengweng and Max Alvarado. His other movies include Durugin Si Totoy Bato (1979), Ang Panday (1980), Ang Maestro (1981), Tatlong Baraha (1981),  Mad Warrior (1984), Lucio Margallo (1992), Dugo ng Panday (1993), Aguinaldo (1993), Asero (1995), at Bitag (1996).
