Paul Muni as Tony Camonte, The Scarface of the original 1932 version |

But what is highly surprising here is that the director set to take the helm of this Scarface movie is David Yates, who has directed most of the Harry Potter movies. This is all good news. Aside from the fact that Yates was originally wanting to direct an Al Capone movie, is indeed an incredibly good director and with him taking on a Scarface movie, anticipation is surely positively high. On the other hand, I would have wanted Scarface to have a period film setting, but then again that's just me and my love for classic noir, which I usually think of Scarface as being one.
