The casting for the upcoming Ninja Turtles reboot now looks complete. Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard and Noel Fisher were cast as Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo respectively. Set photos were made public showing the turtles' actors in black and grey motion capture suits, complete with life-sized turtle shells, with each actor wearing arm bands and accents of their corresponding turtle's signature color. Filming on the Turtles have been actively going on since March this year. All the talk from producer Michael Bay saying that the Turtles will be aliens have already been corrected, and there is a promise to make the film as faithful to the source material as possible.
So far, the cast looks fine. I think Fichtner would make a great Shredder regardless of the fact that Shredder is supposed to be Japanese. I guess Arnett would be hilarious as Vernon if he will indeed play it in a slightly snobbish-feminine manner, and always wearing pink polo shirts, just like how he is in the animated series which really made the character stand out. And I really have no problems with Megan Fox as April.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES is targeted for a June 6, 2014 release date.
