Due to public demand, the 1st Silk Road International Film Festival Philippine Entries will be screened once again this week, from February 3 to 8, 2015. There had been feedback that had come that there were many who had missed out on the screenings and wanted to get to have the chance to watch it again, while in the case of other films, audiences wanted to drag their friends their friends along to watch them again. [hit the jump to continue]

Perhaps the movie that has had the strongest reaction was "Sonata" in which almost all of its audiences wanted to get the chance to have their friends see the movie. "Sonata's" impact is immensely and tearjerkingly beautiful.

"Sonata" is about an opera diva, on the verge of a nervous breakdown after losing her voice, gives up the world, and returns home to Negros Occidental. And through a young boy, she rediscovers her art and life, and brings the world into her doorstep. As the world of the well-traveled opera diva collides with the world of a young boy in the throes of exploration, both discover the nature of art and the healing power of love.
