TED 2 Set to Return April 2015

The 2012 comedy TED was such a hit that we sure are getting a sequel. Comedy writer, producer, and director Seth MacFarlane returns with Mark Wahlberg to bring life to the dirty-talking, wise-cracking teddy bear in TED 2 which is planned for an April 2015 release. [hit the jump to continue]

Seth MacFarlane has recently tweeted that with regards to TED 2, “We’re aiming for a 2015 Passover release date.”  To be more specific, that’s April 3, 2015, but right now, Universal is only going so far as to say April 2015. There's a possibility that April 3 will indeed be moved weeks before or weeks later, since it's possible that it may opt not to bump with an expected juggernaut opening for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, which is taking an April 4, 2014 release date.  

Right now, McFarlane is working on A Million Ways to Die in the West, which is due out on May 30, 2014.  If Ted 2 keeps the same scale as the first film, then it’s quite possible that MacFarlane could make an April 2015 release date for the highly-anticipated comedy.
