Fox's X-Men and Fantastic Four are in the Same Movie Universe

Marvel's AVENGERS movie proved that nurturing a comicbook-based universe in movies results in potential franchise blockbuster success. While the DC movies have been making really sad attempts of launching their own Justice League franchise, 20th Century Fox seems to be making good decisions with their own X-Men universe, what with the established link between first three X-Men movies with X-Men First Class, and a planned X-Force movie. Now Fox's own superhero universe will be expanding with the other Marvel property which they own the rights to; The Fantastic Four. And Fox’s creative consultant Mark Millar has confirmed that, yes, Fox's X-Men universe is in the same universe as that with the Fantastic Four's. [hit the jump to continue]

Josh Trank (Chronicle) is currently at work on The Fantastic Four, a franchise reboot that is set to open on March 6, 2015.  20th Century Fox owns the rights to both Marvel properties, and when asked by SFX about crossing them over, Mark Millar responded:

“Without question I think you have to see some of these guys showing up in each other’s movies. I think the most exciting thing in superhero movies, until The Avengers came along, was when Nick Fury showed up in Iron Man. Even though it was a guy with an eye patch it was really cool – and I expect we will see more of that.”

In addition, Millar has clarified in various sources that even though they exist in the same universe, no cross-over appearances will be happening as of yet. He says:
"Note to web journos: FF & X-Men are NOT crossing over. Existing in shared universe does NOT mean a crossover movie, excitable ones..."

Oh... But we all know that it will happen some time in the future. Sure, they have to set up the stage for something like this to happen, but we all know that a crossover will be inevitable. What do you guys think? Will it be a good idea to have X-Men characters interact with Fantastic four? Hit the comments section...
