The 7th Animahenasyon Animation Festival to be held in Iloilo City

Iloilo City will be the venue for this year's Animahenasyon Philippine Animation Festival. Animahenasyon 2013 will be held on November 19, 2013 up till November 22, 2013, at the West Visayas State University, Iloilo City. Animahenasyon 2013 will be comprised of exhibits, animated films in competition and exhibition, master class/workshop/conference, poster-making competition and the awards night. The Animation Competition proper is open to all Filipino professional and student/amateur animators. The entrant may or may not be a citizen or resident of the Philippines. As long as s/he has a Filipino lineage, s/he is qualified to join the competition. The Application period is from November 30, 2012 to September 27, 2013. There will be various categories for competition:

PROFESSIONAL DIVISION
A - 1 minute up to 5:59 minutes
B - 6 minutes up to 20:59 minutes
C - 21 minutes up to 40:59 minutes
D - Full animated feature (41 minutes & beyond)
E - Music Video
F - Title sequences, OBB, infomercials, TVCs, demo reels
G - TV series

STUDENT DIVISION
H - 1 minute to 5:59 minutes
I - 6 minutes up to 20:59 minutes
J - 21 minutes up to 40:59 minutes
K - Music Video
L - Title sequences, OBB, infomercials, TVCs, demo reels

Animahenasyon is the annual Philippine animation festival and competition that began in 2007. Sponsored by the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI), the festival features the animated works of veteran and novice Filipino animators. Apart from the competition, the festival holds classes, seminars, workshops, and exhibits related to the animation profession. It has the aim of harvesting the talent and creativity of Filipino cartoonists and animators. It is considered as an annual celebration of the animation industry in the Philippines.
