Ben Affleck Writing (And Possibly Directing) A Stand-Alone Batman Movie

Ben Affleck may be set to direct his own stand-alone Batman movie. And he has recently finished a script for it. The only redeeming factor of the movie is that it showed everybody that Ben Affleck is able to portray Batman in an awesome manner that really makes the role perfect for him. Affleck is an Academy Award Winning Writer and is himself a great director with films such as "Gone Baby Gone", "The Town", and "Argo". And all this is why we should be excited for this news. New Image of Ben Affleck as Batman for the Upcoming Batman V Superman

The San Diego Comic-con this year is warming up with a new Ben Affleck Batman v Superman image that gives us another look at Affleck as the Caped Crusader.  The image premiered on the convention floor at the DC Booth to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Batman character.  This image is a much tighter shot than the previous character reveal, giving us a great look at how Affleck really fits that gritty Batman look.

Filming is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.[hit the jump to continue]

This yet-to-be-titled Batman/Superman movie is scheduled for May 6, 2016.

Ben Affleck is Batman

The wait is finally over. We now have a new Batman. Ending weeks of speculation, Ben Affleck has been set to star as Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne.  Affleck and filmmaker Zack Snyder will create an entirely new incarnation of the character in Snyder’s as-yet-untitled project—bringing Batman and Superman together for the first time on the big screen and continuing the director’s vision of their universe, which he established in “Man of Steel.”  The announcement was made this week by Warner Bros. Pictures. The studio has slated the film to open worldwide on July 17, 2015.

DC/WB Plans Superman-Batman Movie for 2015 and The Flash for 2016

It's no secret that DC/Warner Bros. has been desperately trying hard to catch up, cash in on the trend, and follow on the formula of Marvel's ultra-successful Avengers movie phenomenon. A Justice League movie has been planned and repetitiously failed to launch (what with the failure of Green Lantern and the unaired Wonder Woman TV series). Now, with the success of MAN OF STEEL, DC/Warner strikes while the iron is hot by following it up with a sequel that is a SUPERMAN-BATMAN movie to be released by 2015, and "tentatively" to be followed by a FLASH movie on 2016. And possibly a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie by 2017. [read more after the jump]

Christian Bale renounces any Involvement in the planned Justice League movie

Christian Bale has denied having any involvement with the planned Justice League movie, and expresses his enthusiasm about the Batman mantle to be taken on by new people.

The team of Chris Nolan and Christian Bale have successfully created a great Batman trilogy. A trilogy that seems to be created in a more real-world setting that would not seem to blend well with the fantasy/sci-fi aspects of other DC characters.

In case you did not know, Nolan's and Bale's run on Batman has already ended. Nolan himself has expressed that he would not continue the franchise, and that it would be more ideal to give the Batman franchise a re-introduction, with the kind of Batman that would possess the serious brooding atmosphere of the Nolan movies, but could also be the kind that would blend well with the other DC character's universe. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Review

I was extremely impressed how Nolan has created a movie that is as epic and as grand as The Dark Knight. It's mind-blowing for me how I felt that Nolan has made lightning strike twice, and has managed to conclude his Batman trilogy with a truly magnificent movie chapter. Director Christopher Nolan has completed his trilogy; his trilogy joins the ranks of the very very few movie trilogies in cinema history that are flawlessly magnificent (I count only 2- The Godfather & Lord of the Rings... on the other hand many argue that Godfather 3 was bad, but I still respected it). THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is a must-see moive. This could potentially be the best movie of the year for me.

No "Batman 4" after The Dark Knight Rises

THE DARK KNIGHT ENDS
Why there will be NO “BATMAN 4” after The Dark Knight Rises; and what future holds for the Dark Knight?

by Xyde

Director Christopher Nolan has wowed Batman fans with his artistic approach to filming major studio films. His ability to wipe away all the harm that was done upon the character by Joel Schumacher's atrocious Batman and Robin, was truly remarkable. No longer was would a Batman film be a two hour long toy commercial

With all journeys they must come to an end and Christopher Nolan discusses the importance of bringing his trilogy to a rightful conclusion. Chris Nolan always considered (his) Batman a trilogy and, as such, the journey is about to be over soon.
