Ilonggo Animated Movie "Pikyaw" to be screened at SM Cinema

Singaporean Film "ILO ILO" to have its Iloilo Premiere on December 1, 2013

This weekend, the multi-awarded Singaporean movie entitled “ILO ILO” will have its Iloilo premiere screening this Sunday December 1, 2013 5:30 PM at the SM City Iloilo Cinema 6. The Singaporean movie entitled "ILO ILO" which has won the coveted Camera d’Or award for best feature film at this year's Cannes Film Festival is based upon the true-to-life experiences of director Anthony Chen and his family's relationship with a Pinay OFW Nanny from the City of Iloilo, Philippines. “ILO ILO” is Singapore’s entry to the Best Foreign Film for the 2014 Academy Awards.

Iron Man 3 Advance Screening Skeds

There is much anticipation and excitement around the release of the latest Marvel movie IRON MAN 3. This movie is the start of the Marvel Phase 2 that will lead in to Avengers 2. Fans are eager to watch the movie, and cant wait to get their hands on the movie skeds for the movie. The Sineng Pambansa Film Festival Screening Schedule

Last year, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) in cooperation with the Iloilo City Government held the very first Sineng Pambansa (National Cinema) Film Festival here in Iloilo City. This was to be the first of what is expected to be an annual event which celebrates quality films of the country. For three days, the program was able to show a number of quality Filipino indie films that have been critically-acclaimed and award-winning in the international scene . This festivals does indeed upgrade the level of film appreciation among the mainstream, and create a consciousness of what truly is quality cinema.

Now, the Second Sineng Pambansa Iloilo Film Festival is set on January 18 to 20, 2012. It will once again showcase the best in quality cinema. This festival is bent to revitalize both local filmmakers and local audiences by introducing trends and directions in cinema, through nationwide screening of Filipino films.

Admission is FREE, however, there will be tickets so as to control the number of people that go in and out of theaters. You may get the tickets for free at the Iloilo City Tourism office, Iloilo City Mayor's Office, from Mr Joeboy Agriam, FDCP Iloilo Cinematheque at B @ C Square Bldg., Iznart -Solis Street, Sm Cinema 2 & 3. There will also be a team going around schools to distribute.

Zombadings Advance Screening in Iloilo City

ZOMBADINGS 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington will have an advance screening this Saturday August 20, 2011, 7 PM at the Cinema 2 of SM City Cinema Iloilo City. The film is originally set for official release on August 31, 2011.

ZOMBADINGS is directed by Jade Castro (who directed "My Big Love"). He is also the screenwriter of it, along with Raymond Lee

Free Movies for Senior Citizens at SM City Cinema

Iloilo City Government launches "Libre Pa-Sine" for Senior Citizens

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has signed a memorandum of agreement with the management of SM City Cinema regarding free movie showings to senior citizens in this city.

The Iloilo City Government in partnership with SM City Iloilo launched the “Libre Pa-Sine”, a project that will give the elderly free access to movies.
