Marvel's Civil War Storyline to be Used in Captain America 3; Robert Downey Jr. to have a role

There's always been some anticipation and rumor actively buzzing around whatever Marvel does with its cinematic universe. One of the earlier rumors was that the Civil War storyline would be used for the third or the fourth Avengers movie. Now, it is confirmed that the Civil War storyline would be used for Captain America 3. In Marvel's Civil War, the Superhero Registration Act mandates that anyone with superhuman abilities register with the U.S. government and agree to act as law enforcement.  Captain America opposes the legislation, but Iron Man supports it, setting up Downey to play the villain. News stories on whether Iron Man 4 is a go have been confusing. Here's why: When Robert Downey Jr. appeared in the Ellen DeGeneres show last Tuesday, and gave a positive "okay, yes" response to the question of him doing Iron Man 4. This quickly spread all the news giving official confirmation for Iron Man 4 and that Downey will be in it. Robert Downey Jr. to Retire from Iron Man Role

Robert Downey Jr. is undoubtedly the reason why Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man is one of the best characters (and one of the most interesting at that) to ever come out of a superhero movie. But all good things should have a nice pleasant ending, and of course, Downey cannot play that role forever. Iron Man 3 Advance Screening Skeds

There is much anticipation and excitement around the release of the latest Marvel movie IRON MAN 3. This movie is the start of the Marvel Phase 2 that will lead in to Avengers 2. Marvel officially confirms The Mandarin for Iron Man 3; & Extremis as well

As for Iron Man, ever since Ben Kingsley was cast as a villain in Iron Man 3, it was obvious (despite denials from Marvel) that he would be playing the Mandarin. Now, Marvel has officially confirmed that it is indeed The Mandarin. The recently released video clip at the San Diego Comic Con has also revealed that Iron Man's new suit can be summoned through force of will, which does indeed follow the Extremis Armor storyline in the comics. Happy Hogan (played by Iron Man's former director Jon Favreau) will also be playing a larger role in this movie. Iron Man 3 opens May 3, 2013.

Marvel's recent announcements during this year's San Diego Comic-Con has been the grand tidal wave of the convention. Marvel has made revelations about their upcoming movies. At the Iron Man 3 panel, producer Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, and director Shane Black were present. A video clip was released and revealed several scenes such as Stark putting on the Iron Man suit by will, an action scene involving the destruction of Tony's Malibu home, The Mandarin putting on one of ten rings, among many other scenes, in a teaser/trailer clip. Of course, this electrified the audience in attendance.
