X-Men Update: Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Lana Condor, and the New X-Men

The X-Men franchise are saying goodbyes to those who did their time and saying hello to young newcomers. Recently, Jennifer Lawrence and Hugh Jackman have expressed their departures from their roles, while the X-Men universe welcomes its most recently announced newcomer Lana Condor for the role of Jubilee. Wolverine 3 is a Go; with James Mangold back at the helm

The greenlight is lit on the third Wolverine movie! Wolverine 3 (which does not yet have an official title) which will be directed by James Mangold will begin shooting early next year, and is being slated for March 3, 2017.

Of course, Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine. In an interview last 2014, Jackman has said that this third Wolverine movie could be his last appearance as the character. But in an interview with EW last month, he has recanted and expressed that he wants to play Wolverine until he dies, after being inspired by Michael Keaton‘s performance in Birdman. Here's what he said:
"I said to my wife, ‘The moral is that I should never stop playing Wolverine. I’ve got to find a way to keep playing him until I die.’ I know that someday they’ll recast the role with another actor…I’d be happy if the role was eventually recast. It would mean that it had become iconic."

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine Wants to Fight With The Avengers Too

In the world of superhero movies, as is in the case of the Marvel Studio movies, characters and superheroes get to crossover in each other's movie. Tony Stark can make an appearance in a Hulk movie, Nick Fury can have a cameo in Captain America, and those characters can all meet up in The Avengers. Hugh Jackman has recently come out in an interview expressing his wishes that he and his character Wolverine could fight alongside, not only with the X-Men, but with the Avengers as well. The Wolverine Redefined

One of the highly-anticipated movies this year is THE WOLVERINE starring Hugh Jackman, reprising his role as the savage mutant, directed by James Mangold, screenplay written by Christopher McQuarrie, Scott Frank, and Mark Bomback, and based on the 1982 limited series Wolverine by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller.

One of the reasons why this is highly anticipated is the fact that this movie seeks to revitalize the character with a treatment designed to correct the wrongs of the previous movie, one that will render it "done right this time" [full article after the jump]
