When you think about The Expendables, the first thing that usually comes to mind is its creator: Sylvester Stallone; so it's going to be strange if you remove Stallone from Expendables.

During last sunday's big fight night between Chris Algieri and the Filipino champion Manny Pacquiao, action superstars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone visited the locker room of Pacquiao to wish him well before his fight. When that happened, the internet along with action movie fans blew up with speculation, giving birth to the rumor that the Pinoy boxing champion was going to be part of "Expendables 4". But, that's not enough reason to bring out that big bag of popcorn. THE EXPENDABLES 3 has begun Shooting

THE EXPENDABLES 3, the third installment of THE EXPENDABLES action-thriller franchise, has begun production shooting on location in Bulgaria and at Nu Boyana Studios in Sofia. Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan, Milla Jovovich, and Mickey Rourke were reportedly on board according to various sources, but they’re not mentioned in the movie's official press release which was released just recently. The Expendables 3 Cast Round-up

Looks like the cast for EXPENDABLES 3 is looking as good as complete. It is now confirmed that Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, and Mel Gibson who is confirmed to be playing the villain, are joining the cast of THE EXPENDABLES 3. They will be joining the other new cast members Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Kellan Lutz, and Milla Jovovoich, who all have confirmed earlier that they are joining in on the movie. The new movie will be directed by Patrick Hughes who directed RED HILL.

Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, and Milla Jovovich join The Expendables

It seems like the goal of The Expendables movies is to put together a dream-team action cast, and then figure out the plot.  Audiences have been pleased with the line-ups of the past films, and producer/star Sylvester Stallone is hoping to keep fans happy.  We previously reported that Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, and Nicolas Cage were all circling The Expendables 3, and now it looks like Stallone has got them.  According to Deadline, the three actors are in “advanced negotiations” to join the film, and Milla Jovovich is also in talks to fight in the boys’ club.  Jovovich could be a fun addition to the mix, and the series has definitely run short on female firepower.  Audiences love her in the Resident Evil franchise, and I don’t think they’ll have any problem seeing her kicking ass alongside Stallone, Statham, et al.

The Expendables 2 opens this week

The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2010 action ensemble; THE EXPENDABLES 2 opens this THURSDAY -August 16, 2012 - in Philippine cinemas (that includes Iloilo, of course). The film will open in US theaters 2 days later (if you count the time zone difference), August 17, 2012. This time, the movie is directed by Simon West (Con Air, The Mechanic) and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth; Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger in supposed larger, more action-packed roles; and will be joined by Jean Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris. EXPENDABLES 2 will also be released in Europe this Thursday. Don't forget to visit the site first thing in the morning of Thursday to check out the screening skeds of EXPENDABLES 2 in Iloilo theaters.
