Will the Robotech Live-Action Hollywood Adaptation finally move forward?

Looks like the "Robotech" movie is getting made after all, as producers Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton has picked up Michael B. Gordon (screenwriter for "300" and "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra") to write the film's script and are looking at Andy Muschietti, who helmed the 2013 film "Mama" to direct it. If this will hit off, we could possibly see Tobey Maguire and Tom Cruise to star in it. [hit the jump to continue]

Knight Rider movie being developed

KNIGHT RIDER was one of the most popular TV series of the 80's, it was the show that made David Hasselhoff a household name. Now a movie adaptation of this show is being developed, and (Wild Hogs) screenwriter Brad Copeland has already been hired, indicating that this project is ineed moving along. The Weinstein Company, which owns the feature rights to the property, is aiming for a more high-octane, action-oriented adaptation, to catch up on the hype and the popularity of movies like the Fast & Furious movies. There are talks that David Hasselhoff, star of the original series, will be involved with the new version in one way or another, on the other hand, there is no word on whether Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) will return to voice the role of K.I.T.T., the extremely advanced and indestructible vehicle that was featured in the 80s original. No Philippine screening for Rurouni Kenshin?

SAMURAI X'ED IN THE PHILIPPINES
by Reymundo Salao

Bad news for the fans of Rurouni Kenshin a.k.a. Samurai X. It looks like the highly-anticipated film adaptation of the anime/manga series RUROUNI KENSHIN (popularly known in the Philippines as SAMURAI X) will not be having a theatrical release here in the Philippines after all.

The negative buzz came out just this weekend when Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines, via their facebook page stated that they have no rights to release the highly anticipated movie. This is their statement:

"...to the numerous folks asking. We just learned this morning that we do not have rights to release Rurouni Kenshin here in the Philippines."

Dwayne Johnson as DC's Lobo?

Dwayne Johnson is now becoming one of Hollywood's larger-than-life action heroes. But if ever he was to play a superhero, who would it be? He's too big to be Superman, he's too small to be the Hulk, he's too fun to be the Punisher; well, just give him the role of the big DC comics anti-hero: LOBO! Is it just some kind of fan rumor? Or are the studios really working on ways for him to become the dangerously zany alien anti-hero?

The rumor began when a fan tweeted to Johnson that he’d like to see the star in the role, and Johnson responded, “Funny U say that…”  Today, he has added a bit more fuel to the fire, by tweeting about the rumor he started:
