Marvel Reveals Upcoming Phase Three Films

Marvel has finally revealed their Phase 3 plans with several projects that will excite all its fans. The line-up include: stealing back the spotlight with an enormous slate of its own.  Here’s the overview of Phase 3:
Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
Doctor Strange will arrive on November 4, 2016.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is due on May 5, 2017.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on July 28, 2017.
Black Panther arrives on November 3, 2017 starring Chadwick Boseman.
Captain Marvel will be released on July 6, 2018.
Inhumans is coming on November 2, 2018.
Avengers: Infinity War - Part I arrives on May 4, 2018 followed by Part II on May 3, 2019.

Doctor Strange picks Scott Derrickson as director; Now the big question is Who will play Doctor Strange?

It's been confirmed that "Doctor Strange" will be among the movies that will comprise Marvel Production's Phase 3. Scott Derrickson (director of "The Exorcism of Emily Rose", "Sinister", and the upcoming "Deliver Us From Evil") has already confirmed that he will direct this upcoming Marvel project. Now, speculations run amuck as to who will portray Doctor Strange. The biggest contenders, according to several sources, are; Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jared Leto. Paul Rudd is Marvel's Ant-Man

For several months now, there has been much speculation on who will be the lead to play the lead character in Marvel’s “Ant-Man”... now it's official: Paul Rudd will be the one to don the costume of the Avenger superhero; The Ant-Man. Months ago the candidates who were lined up for consideration were Simon Pegg, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Paul Rudd himself. Even back then, we though Rudd was the best choice (Pegg was too comedy, while JGL was too ...pop). Anyway, JGL now has the (DC Vertigo) Sandman role and Pegg is still a funny comedian, so, everybody happy. Paul Rudd is perfect for Ant-Man, the Marvel superhero who has the ability to shrink into the size of an ant, and also grow into the size of a giant.

"Ant-Man" will be the first movie to immediately kick-off Marvel's phase three. Phase two ends with “Avengers: Age of Ultron” on May 1, 2015 and "Ant-Man" immediately arrives on theaters July 31, 2015. [hit the jump to continue]

Doctor Strange is next in line for Marvel's Phase Three Plans

Although basically this is not part of Marvel's Phase Two, the development for the adaptation of the Marvel mystic hero DOCTOR STRANGE has now commenced according to Marvel Studios President (and Mastermind behind the success of the recent marvel movie projects) Kevin Feige. Marvel's Phase Two has kicked off with the recent release of Iron Man 3. It is safe to assume that Phase Two has all its plans in place already. By now, Phase Three would be going through initial planning stages, and Doctor Strange might be part of Phase Three. 

According to an interview with Collider, Feige offered a promising update on the impending Doctor Strange movie.  Feige said that they are now actively working on the film, and it should be one of the next Marvel movies following the beginning of Phase Three.
