The Second Cinekasimanwa Film Festival sets date, call for entries

It will be December soon, and the second Cinekasimanwa: Western Visayas Film Festival is at hand. This week, their official poster that announces the festival's dates and the call for entries, was posted. Last year, Iloilo and Panay had witnessed a cultural milestone as the first Cinekasimanwa: The Panay Islands Film Festival was launched, and it had opened the floodgates for Iloilo and Panay's film artists take center stage and be acknowledged. The event was a success, and now on its second year, Cinekasimanwa 2 promises to be bigger and better.

GODZILLA is Coming 2014

GODZILLA is a historical phenomenon in cinema, especially in Japan from which it originated. And even though Hollywood has, in the past, failed in making a good Godzilla movie with Roland Emmerich's awful 1998 Godzilla movie, Hollywood is giving it another crack with a Godzilla movie that promises to 'do it right this time'

The new Godzilla movie is directed by Gareth Edwards, who directed the 2010 indie hit "Monsters" and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Sally Hawkins and Ken Watanabe. GODZILLA gets unleashed May 16, 2014. [more after the jump]
