Guillermo Del Toro Teases Tiny Details About Pacific Rim 2

It's not really a surprise that Pacific Rim would get a sequel. It is, after all, one of 2013's biggest sci-fi action movies. The visionary director of this monster hit, Guillermo Del Toro will be going in a very different direction with Pacific Rim 2. The sequel picks up a few years after the events of the first. The story will begin in a Kaiju-free world, and this will indeed create a restart scenario when the horror re-emerges. There will be a lot of new Kaiju in Pacific Rim 2, according to Del Toro, and of course, the Jaegers will indeed rise to fight the threat once again. Some favorite characters from the first film, like Geiszler played by Charlie Day and Gottlieb played by Burn Gorman, will return. But others wont re-emerge till at the end of Pacific Rim 2 in an effort to heat things up for a third film. [hit the jump to continue]

Pacific Rim 2 is a Go; set for April 2017

We have not seen the last of spectacular Kaiju vs Giant Robots in the big screen, because Pacific Rim 2 has indeed been greenlighted and has been assigned a target date set on April 7, 2017.[hit the jump to continue]

Pacific Rim review

I actually loved the concept. If I were to judge the movie only by concept and eye candy factor, the movie does score high. But unfortunately, I was not impressed by the rest of it. The movie suffers from bland acting and a sloppy script. There is a lack of chemistry between the main characters Becket and by Mako; actor Charlie Hunnam and Academy Award Nominated actress Rinko Kikuchi (for her performance in the movie BABEL) are certainly great performers, but their acting in this movie feels so uninspired and so amateur-ish. Trailer Tuesdays: Pacific Rim, Before Midnight, The Numbers Station, Aftershock, Machete Kills

Our Trailer Tuesdays this week brings forth some trailers for the upcoming Before Midnight,  The Numbers Station,  and Aftershock. All of them set to open tomorrow July 10. While on July 11, we have the highly-anticipated Guillermo Del Toro movie Pacific Rim. We also get a glimpse of the return of Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse hero Machete in "Machete Kills" this time with Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen. Get Ready for PACIFIC RIM!

Warner Bros. are bracing themselves for the upcoming July 11 release of the Guillermo Del Toro directed robots-versus-monsters movie: PACIFIC RIM. Anticipated and forseen to be one of the gigantic movies this year, PACIFIC RIM hopes to attract the fans of big destructive monster flicks like Godzilla, and fans of flashy robot movies like the Transformers movies, as well as fans of mecha-sci-fi, and mecha anime, from the classic mecha anime of the 1970's Voltes V and Daimos, to the recent Gundam generations.
