This week, we get the very first look at a new mutant from X-Men: Apocalypse. And that mutant is Nightcrawler, played by "Let Me In" and "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" young actor Kodi Smit-McPhee. [hit the jump to continue]
Production has been ongoing for the latest X-Men movie, which is part of the prequel franchise for the superhero franchise. Nightcrawler's look appears to be a concept image and not Smit-McPhee in actual makeup. Nightcrawler was played by Alan Cumming in the second X-Men Movie.
Well, I think he would play a great Nightcrawler, considering that this character does need to have the vibrance of a young actor. On the other hand, when you take a good look at the design, it kinda reminds you of those blue-skinned aliens from Avatar. On the other hand, the comics made Nightcrawler first.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be introducing us to a slew of new young mutants, as the 80s-set sequel also stars Tye Sheridan (Mud) as Cyclops, Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. It also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Olivia Munn, Rose Byrne, Ben Hardy, Lucas Till, and Oscar Isaac. The film opens internationally on May 27, 2016.
