After the success of "Big Eyes" we would have hoped that Tim Burton has gone back to making "real" movies. But then again, you cant shake Tim's choices. Because now, we found out that Tim Burton will be making a live action Dumbo movie. [hit the jump to continue]
The new Dumbo will actually be a blend of live-action and CGI, this is in line with Disney's (lazily) coming up with live adaptations for their classics such as the upcoming "Cinderella", and "Jungle Book" and "Beauty and the Beast" which are both currently in development.
Walt Disney Pictures president of production Sean Bailey revealed the plans for Dumbo to The Wall Street Journal, telling the paper 'It’s a big world.'
The original movie was about the story of little Dumbo and his mother, with the big eared circus elephant bullied mercilessly by the olders of his tribe until his ability to fly made him a star.
The Dumbo script was reportedly written by Ehren Kruger, the guy who also wrote Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, so yeah, expect the movie to be, well, have that Dumbo feel.
