Get ready because Iloilo is bracing for another big Arts and Culture event, as the Office of Councilor Jay Treñas present The Iloilo Art Fest 2015. Already on its second year, the event shall be featuring various events in visual arts, fashion, and music. The event will also be featuring the Iloilo CineParada 2015 which is a showcase of films made in Iloilo, by Ilonggo filmmakers. This event will feature works from the likes of TM Malones, Joenar Pueblo, Mia Reyes, and many others who bring life to Iloilo's Cinematic Arts scene. The event is scheduled on February 20, 2015, Friday, 6:30 PM up. Among the short films which will be screened include Mia Reyes' "Sin-o si Mel Carreon?", TM Malones' "Maninina", Venz Erick Losbañes' "Sirom", Val Rianne Billones' "Kulang", Reymundo Salao's "Bantay Salakay", Gino Genson's "Extreme Measures", and Jaip Saluba's "Sa Amay, Sa Anak, kag sa Droga", among many other films. As for the Art Fest main event, various forms of art will be highlighted on this festival. The event, the day 1 of which will be on February 20, Friday, starts 5:00 PM with an official opening, followed by a Street Dance performance by 6:00 PM, then the CineParada. By 9:00 PM, there will be a feature of various bands such as Holiday Monster, Gnayganid, Tribu ni Mali, and Tunog Amakan.
Day 2, which is on February 21, Saturday, the event will feature neo-classical ballet performances, a fashion show, and the music festival which will feature bands such as Four Leaf Clover, Surebol, Tree Road, Ember, Drive Letter, Beggar's Description, Pulsing Chunky, and Death by Headphones.
The event all in all will also feature various street performers, skaters, graffiti artists, tattoo and body art, caricature sketching, and sounds from DJs El $leeper Sound and Little Echo.
