The CineKasimanwa: The Western Visayas Film Festival Screening Skeds

The coming week from December 8 up till December 13, 2014 Saturday will be a very big week for Iloilo City and Iloilo Cinema. The second CineKasimanwa: The Western Visayas Film Festival will be held, and it will showcase works of cinematic art from various filmmakers of Western Visayas. These works range from various artists, whether they're professional, student, or amateur; whether they be in the genre of action, suspense, comedy, drama, experimental, and even horror. These are all movies worth watching, because these are our stories, these are your stories. [hit the jump to continue on to the screening skeds]

Among the headline films that will be gracing the festival include films like Lav Diaz's "Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan" which is the Philippines' entry to the upcoming Academy Awards (Oscars), Ned Trespeces' "My Fake American Accent" and "Trabaho", Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes' "Tyanak" which is an updated remake of their own classic horror film, Joenar Pueblo's "Gamhanan", and TM Malones' Yolanda aftermath documentary "Dapya sang Paglaum", among numerous other masterful works from various filmmakers old and new.

The festival screenings will be held at the three venues: The UPV Cinematheque, the FDCP Cinematheque, and SM City Cinema 1. Screenings at the UPV Cinematheque are scheduled at 10:00 AM, one program feature per day. In the afternoon, there are two program features for each of the two other venues. At the FDCP Cinematheque, there's a program feature scheduled at 1:30 PM, and one at 3:30 PM. While at SM City, one's scheduled at 3:30 also and another at 7:00 PM.
