CineKasimanwa Press Con and Plans for CineKasimanwa 2015

Dec. 5, 2014 --- The storm (plus two other press conferences) prevented many from attending the CineKasimanwa 2 press conference but a few of our good and supportive friends from the Iloilo Media came to show us their love. Festival director and programmer, Elvert Bañares; UPV Cinematheque OIC, Prof. Alfredo Diaz; Iloilo Cinematheque's Daniella Caro Barbosa; and, filmmakers Joebert Casas & Reymundo Salao were part of the press con panel. Meanwhile, plans for the Third CineKasimanwa for 2015 legwork will already commence Dec. 26, 2014. Which means that as soon as before the month ends, the seeds for CineKasimanwa 3 shall have already been planted, and it will be a much bigger festival than it already is. The mastermind behind the CineKasimanwa, Elvert Bañares, has announced this in his facebok page, and has confirmed it later at the formal filmmakers' meet. And in addition, has even laid out festival schedules for next year, which enumerates:
Call for entries shall already begin Jan. 1, 2015.
Deadline for submission of films is set on August 25, 2015.
Deadline for submission of sponsorship lock-ins is on October 15, 2015.
Deadline for submission of all press materials and festival requirements is on September 15, 2015.
Our festival workshops and conference are scheduled Nov. 25-28, 2015.
Main festival is set on Dec. 1-6, 2015.
If you thought that big things have come, we can expect more as time goes by.
