These films have been transferred to the FDCP Iloilo Cinematheque:
Dec. 11, Thu, 6:30pm "Yuhom", "Wowa", "Sin-o si Mel Carreon?", "Gaid", "Bantay Salakay", "Ang Paranublion", and "Reverie"
Dec. 12, Fri, 7:00pm, "Moo-Moo-An Kag Fantasmagoria" (If you will be in a horror or sci-fi costume, your ticket is free for this program.)
We all hope for the moviegoing public to understand and bear with the festival, and continue to strongly support it.
Now, on to the more vibrant side of the updates; the CineKasimanwa's red carpet screening for its opening film "Norte Hangganan nga Kasaysayan" was a success, and was graced with respected guests from the filmmaking scene. It was graced by Norte's writer-producer Moira Raymond Lee, actress Alessandra De Rossi, and actor Sid Lucero. They will be gracing the rest of the events of the festival as well.
This 10:00 AM at the UPV Cinematheque, the screening program shall begin with the short film "Gaid" by Tara Illenberger, who directed the magnificent indie film "Brutus". Then it shall be followed by beautiful romantic comedy by Jay Abello entitled "Namets!" which is a romance set in the backdrop of Bacolod's food, restaurant, and catering scene.
In the afternoon, beginning 1:30 PM, we have screenings at the FDCP Cinematheque. Steven Asaph Reasol's "Silong" and "Tumbang Preso" by Kip Oebanda. At 3:30 PM, is Blessel Toledo's "Yuhom", and TM Malones' Typhoon Yolanda documentary "Dapya sang Paglaum". Finally, at 6:30 are "Yuhom", "Wowa", "Sin-o si Mel Carreon?", "Gaid", "Bantay Salakay", "Ang Paranublion", and "Reverie". Meanwhile at SM City Cinema, is Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes' 2014 rebirth of the horror saga they popularized... "T'yanak".
