Filming for THE BOURNE LEGACY may still be going on in Metro Manila, Philippines, but the early teaser poster for the movie, and an early teaser trailer has already hit the net.
THE BOURNE LEGACY is the fourth film to the Bourne series which began with THE BOURNE IDENTITY (2002), then THE BOURNE SUPREMACY (2004) and THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM (2007). THE BOURNE LEGACY is considered a spin-off to the original series because it will not feature the main character of the first three movies, Jason Bourne. It will, however, be set in the same universe of the first three movies, and will feature many of the characters of the first three movies as well.

The characters (from the first three movies) who will be returning will be CIA Deputy Director and Task Force Chief Pamela Landy, played once again by Joan Allen. Albert Finney will be returning to play Dr. Albert Hirsch responsible for creating the Bourne persona as well as Treadstone's other "assets". Scott Glenn also returns as Ezra Kramer, director of the CIA. The role/characters of newcoming cast to the series Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz, and the synopsis of the movie are not yet officially revealed. But as the trailer suggests, the story will revolve around the Treadstone organization and it will feature another agent similar to Bourne (thus, it is called 'The Bourne Legacy'). That new/other agent will be played by Jeremy Renner (Hurtlocker, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol).
In addition, The Filipino actors and actresses that are officially among the cast of characters in the movie are: Andre Tiangco, John Arcilla, Lou Veloso, Madeleine Nicolas, Ruby Ruiz, Anne Garcia, Ermie Concepcion and Joel Torre. THE BOURNE LEGACY is written and directed by Tony Gilroy, who also wrote and directed DUPLICITY and MICHAEL CLAYTON.
The movie is currently filming in the Philippines. THE BOURNE LEGACY is set to hit theaters August 3, 2012.
