Eugene Domingo Comedy "Instant Mommy" at the FDCP Cinematheque this week

This week at the FDCP Cinematheque, we will surely be entertained by Eugene Domingo's underrated comedy "Instant Mommy" where we see her star opposite Hollywood-based Japanese actor Yuki Matsuzaki (The Last Samurai, Letters to Iwo Jima). Eugene will be playing Matsuzaki's fiancee, and falsely claims that she is pregnant so that Matsuzaki wont leave her. The FDCP Cinematheque is located at the B&C Square Building, Solis Street, Iloilo City (near BPI and East West Bank). The Cinematheque is Iloilo's home of quality indie films and art films from the local and international cinema.

"Instant Mommy" follows the story of Bechayda (Eugene Domingo, a two-months-pregnant wardrobe assistant for TV commercial production. In the fear of losing her Japanese lover, Kaoru (Yuki Matsuzaki) and her dreams of a better life, she embarks on a plan that will get herself out of her predicament. Or so she thinks. Syowing this Week

It's a very interesting movie week because there are two big Filipino movies that will be opening; one is an Indie Comedy that pits one of the country's most brilliant comediennes with a respected Japanese actor co-star. The other movie has already made audiences at the Cannes Film Festival give it a standing ovation. These two Filipino movies really deserve to be watched this week. This week, we've also got a biopic, a serial killer thriller, and some other B-movie type never-heard movies that you may want to ignore. Then there's also extended runs of movies from last week. Eugene Domingo shooting alongside Japanese actor Yuki Matsuzaki for Pinoy Indie Film

Pinoy super-popular comedienne Eugene Domingo will be starring opposite Hollywood-based Japanese actor Yuki Matsuzaki (The Last Samurai, Letters to Iwo Jima) in a Cinemalaya film entitled INSTANT MOMMY, directed by Leo Abaya. In the movie, Eugene will be playing Matsuzaki's fiancee, and falsely claims that she is pregnant so that Matsuzaki wont leave her.

Filming has begun this month on this Pinoy indie film. This is a Cinemalaya Indie Film. So that means that we here in Iloilo would have to wait for further notice if it will be shown in our theaters, or if some special screening will take place for it.
