Magic Mike XXL Synopsis and Poster Revealed

Since news has come out that there's gonna be a sequel to Steven Soderbergh's Channing Tatum-starrer "Magic Mike" entitled "Magic Mike XXL" there has been much buzz and electricity from Tatum fans who eagerly await its release. Now, the poster for the upcoming sequel is out, and it's surely something that the ladies (or the lady-like crowds) would love.[hit the jump to continue]

In "Magic Mike XXL" or "MMXXL" as it is aptly called, Gregory Jacobs takes over the director’s chair, Soderbergh will this time be returning only as director of photography, editor, and camera operator. Channing Tatum will be back, of course, and will be joined by new cast members Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Matthew McConaughey will not, however, be coming back for this sequel. "Magic Mike XXL" is set to officially open in US theaters on July 1st.

Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
