Snow White and the Hunstman sequel planned; Frank Darabont eyed to direct

Yes, folks, there's going to be a "Snow White and the Huntsman 2" though it's going to be likely just "Hunstman 2" because the sequel will not be having its focus on Kristen Stewart's character anymore, but to Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character. And The Green Mile, The Mist, and walking Dead (and TV series developer, season 1) director Frank Darabont is set to direct this sequel.[hit the jump to continue]

"Snow White and the Huntsman" actually left a bad taste in the mouths of many audiences because it was a bit lackluster, despite the noteworthy visuals, and it also was overshadowed by the behind-the-scenes drama between director Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart. And for a while, all talks of a planned sequel were kept to a whispers-and-rumors level. But now, it seems that the sequel is moving to a better direction with Darabont onboard, and the fact that it will focus on Hemsworth's character.

Several sources like THR and The Wrap has confirmed this news, and that Charlize Theron, on the other hand, will return. Kristen Stewart could also be back, but only on a cameo level. Universal hopes to get Huntsman 2 into theaters by 2016, which means filming would need to begin next year.
