The 39th MMFF Entries Announced

The Metro Manila Film Festival, which is the country's biggest (unfortunately, also considered the worst) film festival, has recently announced its eight official entries that will be shown in December. There will be no Panday, Enteng Kabisote, and Shake, Rattle, & Roll movies, which is a good thing because the festival does need a refreshing change from these usual franchises that have become annoyingly repetitious. [entries enumerated after the jump]

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino announced the official eight entries to the 39th MMF from the shortlisted 15 entries

1. “10,000 Hours” (action-suspense), produced by Philippine Film Studio, directed by Joyce Bernal, starring Robin Padilla.

2. “San Pedro Calungsod, Batang Martir” (religious drama), produced by Hubo Productions, directed by Francis Villacorta.

3. “Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy” (comedy), co-produced by Viva Films and Star Cinema, directed by Wenn Deramas, starring Vice Ganda and Maricel Soriano.

4. “Be Careful with My Heart”, (romantic comedy), produced by ABS-CBN Productions, Inc., directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, starring Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria.
